About

OCRAS

Nick is a director who in 2018 left the military to pursue a career in Film. He started in Production and AD departments on various TV shows for SKY and the BBC, before making the transition into directing in late 2019.

His debut short film ‘Queens' was selected at several BAFTA qualifying film festivals including Raindance, LSFF, Edmonton and Leeds International Film Festival, but it really found it’s home at the Iris Prize, where it came runner up for Best British Film and secured a years residency on All4.

Since then he has been sponsored by Left Bank Pictures to attend the National Film and Television School - his graduation film from which went on to win gold in its category at the 2023 Cannes Lions Young Directors Award. He’s also been selected as part of BBC's Casualty Director’s scheme - where in 2025 he’ll shadow a director on the show for 3 months. And finally he’s continued to work in HETV Production teams, most recently spending 15 months on the ITV drama ‘Joan’.

Going forward he’s looking to get his debut feature "In Loving Memory of Alfie Joy" off the ground with Liberty Films, and continue to build his own production company ‘Loudmouth Creative’ which he shares with fellow filmmaker Simon London. Most recently, their film ‘What would you say?’ made in support of restorative justice charity ‘Why Me?’ screened at Warner Brothers HQ as part of the Criminal Justice Alliance x Media trust showcase.
